Obituary of Richard Allen Riddle

Richard Allen Riddle passed away peacefully at his son’s home in Kansas City on July 14, 2019. Richard was born on December 11, 1944 in Tama, Iowa, to Ralph Jerome and Sarah Fincher Riddle. He married Diane Tilley on Febuary10, 1966.  The Riddles moved to Clearmont Missouri in 1979. Richard kept himself busy on his farm since moving there in 1979, and worked at NSK bearing for 26 years. He also served in the Army National Guard for six years.

Richard had a passion for family, farming, and all things John Deere. He was the first person there when you needed anything and the last one to leave.  He was always there with a shoulder to cry or arms open for a hug.  He never met a stranger and if you were around him for five minutes you were family.

Richard is survived by his wife of 53 years, Diane Riddle, his two sons; Darrell Riddle of Clearmont MO., Douglas Riddle and David Bourbon of Kansas City MO., three grandchildren; Dustin Riddle of Clearmont MO., Meredith Riddle of Clearmont MO., Gabe Bourbon of Kansas City MO., four brothers; Ralph E and Jeannette Riddle of Oxford AL., Ronald Riddle of Braddyville IA., Robert and Sandy Riddle of New Market IA., Timothy and Lisa Riddle of Wilcox MO., five sisters; Linda and Ron Meier of Clarinda IA, Patricia and the late Larry VanFosson of Braddyville MO., Rebecca Parker of Braddyville, IA., Constance Riddle and Carolyn Coyne of Braddyville MO., Mona and Kenny Jackson of College Springs IA., and also too many beloved nieces and nephews to mention.

He is preceded in death by his parents Ralph Jerome and Sarah Riddle.
