Obituary of Floyd Thomas Potts JR.

Floyd Thomas Potts Jr was born in Maryville MO to Floyd Thomas Sr. and Wilma Ruth (Wright) Potts on September 6, 1948.  He was born in Maryville, but they lived in Craig, MO at the time. Tommy was the youngest of 5 boys; Keith Edwin, Ronald Dean, Willis Ray, Herman LeRoy and Floyd Thomas Jr.  When Tommy was 4, they moved to a farm north of New Market, IA.  When he was 6, they moved to a farm south of New Market, and that is where Tommy spent the rest of his childhood.  Tommy graduated from high school in 1967 from New Market, Iowa.

Tommy spent most of his time on the farm as a farm hand, and in his spare time he enjoyed watching TV and listening to the radio, taking walks and visiting with friends.  In 1996, he retired from farming and moved to Clarinda.

He is preceded in death by his parents Floyd Sr. and Wilma Potts; brothers, Keith Edwin, Willis Ray, Herman LeRoy (Mary Jane) Potts.

Tommy is survived by his brother Ronnie Potts of Clarinda along with many nephews, nieces, other family and many friends.
