Teresa Lynn (Weston) Knudson was born November 3, 1957 at Corning, IA., to Teddy Junior and Donna Glee (Hensel) Weston. She attended Grant elementary K-6, Elliott school 7-8, and finished high school in Griswold in 1976. She worked at Ever Ready until the plant closed. Teri then attended Southwest Community College in nursing and later worked at Children’s Hospital and nursing homes in Omaha. After her mother passed away Teri moved to Grant, Iowa to care for her father. She worked at long term care facilities in Oakland, Atlantic and most recently Good Samaritan in Villisca. Teri enjoyed her family, spending time with her son and his family and having one extra special day of sky diving with Nathan. She also enjoyed riding motorcycles in her younger years, playing games on her iPad, watching tv shows such as NCIS, NCIS New Orleans, Criminal Minds, Supernatural, and Hallmark movies, especially ones about her favorite holiday-Christmas. She loved her dogs, her wine, Pepsi, dancing and generally having an enjoyable time. Teri was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2015 and fought for three years until she passed away January 12, 2018 at Hospice Home, Creston, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law David Westover. She is survived by her son, Nathan and his wife Amy and their children Nora and Sloane, Omaha, NE; step-daughter, Danielle Woods, Red Oak, IA; siblings Robert (Georgia) Weston, Edgewood, NM, Roxanna (Gail) Peterson, Creston, IA, Rebecca Westover, Grant, IA, George (Laura) Weston, Elliott, IA, and Cynthia (Wallace) Harvey, Overbrook, KS; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
