Obituary of Agnete Christine Lind

Agnete C. (Nita) Lind was bon on a brutally cold night, December 14, 1926, in Exeter, NE to Ole and Nellie Nelson.

She attended Grandview College and the University of Nebraska in Lincoln.  Nita married John Lind in July 1949.

Nita was a strong woman with a big heart, she never met a baby she didn’t love.  She was a lover of books and poetry, a gardener who appreciated they cycle of season and the changes in flowers and trees.  She could watch the sky and the birds at her feeders for hours.  Nita was a curious traveler, as interested in the people she met on her journey as she was on the scenery.  Family was paramount to her and she was always happiest when the group was gathered and she was there.

Nita was preceded in death by her husband John; daughters: Sara Jo and Annie; sister Elna and grandson Matt.

She is survived by her children Mary (Tom), Carl (Leah), Mark (Kelly), Stephen (Karen), Erik (Kalyani), sister Margaret Sorensen, 11 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Memorial may be made to the Family with designation to the following, Audubon Society, The Arbor Day Foundation or Iowa Public Television.
